Before the course
An MBA study guide can be helpful to look over before detailed study for the GMAT in order to give yourself a general overview of what knowledge you will need. The study guides are also very helpful before school interviews so that you are able to talk knowledgeably with tutors and ask them intelligent questions, through your knowledge of the areas of study.
During the course
The study guide should become your best friend! A good study guide will lay out the syllabus of the course that you are taking. It will enable you to check that you have covered and understood everything you are supposed to know.
During exam revision
The study guide can serve as a revision checklist to make sure that you have looked at every part of the syllabus that you will be examined on. It will also stop you from looking at material that you do not need.
During your working life
The presence of study guides on your bookshelf can be very motivational – reminding you that you are capable of all this. In addition just reading through a study guide can sometimes be all the reminder you need of a little used area of study.
